Project Description

We were appointed to design, specify and manage the refurbishment of a 27,000 sq.ft six storey office building. The building was taken back to a shell and fitted out with new common parts, sanitary accommodation and CAT A office accommodation. The works involved the installation of a new comfort heating/cooling system, refurbishment of the lifts and the introduction of mechanical ventilation throughout the building.

Our scope of service included the following:

  • Appointment of all members of the design team including architect, building services engineer, structural engineer and building control approved inspector.
  • Preparation of detailed drawings, specification and tender pack.
  • Obtaining competitive tenders via the traditional method of procurement.
  • Appointment of a contractor and preparation of the JCT Contract.
  • Acting as lead consultant, cost consultant and principal designer.
  • We were subsequently appointed to undertake a review of the ingoing tenant’s fit out prior to a licence to alter being entered into.
